The Dems tried that in Texas for the governor position with multi-million dollar ad campaigns for two independents while the Democrat Bell was hoping for about 35 percent of the vote. I drove by Bell's Houston City Hall pre-election party, big lights, tents, but only three people showed up. The Houston media didn't show this poor showing for Bell.
