The liberal media that attacks Laura Schlessinger’s son’s MySpace blog, covers up for one of their own reported to be involved with child porn on his company computer. Plus, another liberal Democrat, Bernie Ward, has been arrested, convicted and sent to Lompoc prison for child porn. –Update: Aug. 29, 2008.
UPDATE: June 22, 2007– Ms. McCaw and her attorneys won a key victory last Friday, as the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) voted 3-2 to reject a plea for injunctive relief, which would have forced McCaw to rehire at least nine of the reporters she fired for either bias or disloyalty. Some gay activists posted some porn on Deryk Schlessinger’s MySpace blog so that they could say the soldier and son of famous conservative talk show host, Dr. Laura Schlessinger is monster/conservative/liar/hate monger…
Former S.F. Chronicle Managing Editor Jerry Roberts was recently under investigation by Santa Barbara Police for having child and adult porn on his company computer. He was the top editor at the swank, Santa Barbara News-Press for the past four years. The investigation was initiated concerning images found on the hard drive of his computer — used when he worked at the News-Press before quitting last year in a dispute over management responsibilities and a pay cut.
The paper, Santa Barbara’s largest, said in a recent front page story — that a data recovery expert it hired last summer found images of child and adult pornography on Robert’s hard drive. Police reported they later found more than 15,000 such images. (Gulp).
Let’s not rush to judgment. Roberts is a respected member of the mainstream media, with a long, honorable career at the San Francisco Chronicle. He is innocent until proved guilty. He is an outstanding journalist, now teaching.
Time for a question–if your employer found 15,000 porn images on your company computer, what do you think would happen to you? The rules don’t apply to the regular Joe.
Better yet, what would happen to Dr. Laura if the Santa Barbara police found thousands of child and adult porn images on her computer?

Cindy Sheehan, who just last year, was in photos with Hugo Chavez as they both denounced the USA. Sheehan, the Democrats’ darling has become a liability. So she is going out the way she came in, with a symbolic gesture widely covered by the mainstream media. A Google News search of her name showed more than 500 articles about her announcement yesterday that she was resigning as the “face” of the anti-war movement.
Much less a typical press release and more a zigzagging screed, her letter of resignation, which she sent to Daily Kos, is titled “Good Riddance Attention Whore.”

There are two incident with horrible images and innocent victims and one question is important to you? A meaningless question that you can claim to know the answer because it won’t be answered.
If Dr Laura’s office computer had 15,000 porn images on it after being closely connected to 2 other unusual child porn, molestation, rape and violence computer incidents. The police do handle a suspect like that different from a suspect with a clean slate. The public would react to the series of incidents. Maybe what you don’t see from a distance is this is not “leftist v rightist” in SB. Plenty of “rightist” are disgusted with the behaviors at the NewsPress.

Schlessinger has been exposing her child to danger by talking incessantly on her radio show about his paratrooper service. Other parents of military do not try to elevate their kid’s profile to boost their own status. Almost invariably, they allow the kid to do service somewhat anonymously, which is safer than being a celebrity soldier. She will pay for her exploitation of her son.

Well, see, being a novice only goes so far. The files had been deleted; the images were recoverable but the dates were not. But if you think that it’s that easy, then you should take the SBPD’s statements that they aren’t bringing any charges as proof that Jerry Roberts is innocent.

British police, aided by U.S. authorities, have shut down and arrested several in a global Internet pedophile ring that broadcast live-streamed videos of children being abused, investigating more than 700 suspects worldwide and rescuing 31 children in a 10-month probe, officials said Monday.
Of the 31 children, some only a few months old, more than 15 were in Britain, the center said. British authorities would not give a breakdown of where the other suspects or children came from, but said more than half the suspects in Britain were already being prosecuted.
The ring was traced to an Internet chat room called “Kids the Light of Our Lives” that featured images of children being subjected to horrific sexual abuse, including the streaming live videos.
Authorities said they used surveillance tactics normally used against terrorism suspects and drug traffickers to infiltrate the pedophile ring at its highest level.
Officials said the United States, Canada and Australia were Britain’s main partners in the investigation, which involved agencies from 35 countries. The international investigation dated back to August 2006 until the ringleader’s sentencing Monday.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement joined the British-led operation in December. U.S. officials declined to comment because their investigation is continuing in at least 12 states.
Update:
George John Maslovar, 54, faces one count of interstate receipt of child pornography. He was arrested last Friday and had an initial appearance Monday before U.S. Magistrate Nancy Koenig.
Maslovar, who was released on his own recognizance, did not immediately return a phone message left at his home.
Federal investigators found two images and a video of female children under 18 on Maslovar’s home computer. The material was downloaded between Sept. 29, 2004, and Thursday.
The investigation began in May when a tip to Morris Communications executives in Augusta, Ga., suggested unusual use of a computer at the newspaper, according to a story on the newspaper’s online edition Monday.
The computer was traced to Maslovar.
According to a FBI affidavit, other employees in Maslovar’s production department work area “stated that they had seen Maslovar viewing pornography on his work computer, and some of the images may have depicted persons under the age of 18 years.”
Maslovar resigned after being confronted by newspaper personnel.

Dr. Laura or Deryk doesn’t comment because it’s all scum-ridden content and who wants to swim in the crap with you all? Not her or him! The SBNP ex-employees thought it was ok to be biased in their reporting and after being told they were to report both sides of the story and not just their leftist opinions they decided not to. They were fired, that is McCaw’s right ! If they cannot follow the very fair rules, you get fired! That’s the way it is with all jobs. Come on people, Deryk has been around the business his ENTIRE life, if he truly felt the way that MS page said, he would not ever say it or much less put it on the internet. You’re not keeping up with all the facts on the Santa Barbara News Press. You are also full of hot air about Dr. Laura and Deryk. You need to talk to his class mates that know him. There are also photographs that are ignored. The military said whoever put the most disturbed cartoons was not the enemy. That leaves Deryk, Chris Santory and the brothers as persons of interest. The suspect list is very short. The fact no one will comment and explain the photographs say more then enough about guilt.
This isn’t about a difference of opinion. It is about representing the military. When you disgrace the military, you disgrace America.
The military was on this. They accused and later apologized to the enemy terrorists and gays. The military destroyed the evidence. The military would not clear Deryk. It is Dr. Laura and the military that make Deryk look guilty. Neither Dr. Laura or Deryk have taken an ounce of responsibility. Deryk is a professional, he should be accountable. It would be understandable if he was lonely, crushed by his lover and has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
SB resident, you need to get the facts. To repeat the talking points makes it obvious no one will face up and explain or defend Deryk. The military did not clear Deryk, that’s been established. Dr. Laura did not sue the Independent that reported what the military said. If the military lied, Dr. Laura would sue. The photographs were never explained and you can see Deryk’s face and body. He is a disgrace and a shame. Look at the photographs. The military said the cartoons were Deryk or someone he knew that month he used the My Space account.
Before it is true that Deryk did serve or fight as an honorable soldier, he’d need to explain a few things or he looks like the one who is the ugly UnAmerican nut case. It is not nasty to seek truth. As they say it’s not the crime, it’s the cover up.
