Kerry’s campaign appearances for fellow Democrats ‘on hold’

If you were a Democrat running for a house or senate seat, would you ask John Kerry to speak at your rally in the coming days?

This was his speech. It’s the No. 1 and No. 2 clip on YouTube now.

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.” — Kerry

“Don’t blow this for the Democrats. Don’t blow this for the Democrats.” –Imus

Let’s see if Kerry’s own party agrees with his Democrat handlers that he was insulting the president, not the troops. Have Kerry pose for pictures with your politicians! What a charming hero to look up to.

  1. Why can’t Kerry apologize for damning the intelligence of our men and women who joined the military? It appears to be his snobbish, condescending intolerance for moderate or conservative Americans or opinions other than his liberal point of view. Being a son of rich and indulgent parents, privately schooled, catered to by servants, married to not one but two heiresses and, in true born-to-the-manor fashion, contemptuous of “the masses” he purports to represent.

Like those other rich leftists Ted Kennedy, Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton – who have spent the Bush years shrieking, flailing and generally “losing it” in public forums – Kerry has demonstrated a skin so thin that even legitimate questions by his own campaign workers provoke his anger. We are so lucky the American people saw Kerry’s true being. He is washed up now. But he is so arrogant, he doesn’t know it.

  2. Well…not many Republicans want to pose with Bush either(though they’d take any money he’d make at a private function in a heartbeat).

  3. Are you keeping up with the news? Bush is campaigning all over the country.

IMUS TO KERRY: ‘Please stop it. Stop talking. Go home, get on the bike, go wind surfing, anything, stop it. You’re going to ruin this’…

  4. I am aware that Bush is campaigning all over the country. I’m talking about Republicans who want to distance themselves from Bush and his war stance and not wanting to pose in pictures with him.

  5. “You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

How is this not an insult to troops?

  6. Michael,

it’s only one quote taken from a speech. I’ve been looking for a transcript but haven’t found one so far. He fought in Vietnam he knows what war is like, he wouldn’t condemn the troops for being over there. Like a guy said on CNN, Kerry just wanted to lash out at Bush. And why not? Nobody wants to be seen as a war monger or a tyrant.

Yes, I do think Kerry owes them an apology for their misunderstanding his quote taken out of context and blasted out until they felt ill inside. He shouldn’t have to apologize for expressing his opinion that Bush was stupid to make a mess in Iraq. Bush is the reason troops are dying, he put them there.

Hilary wouldn’t want it to appear that just because they’re in the same party, she’ll let it slide. And if I’m not mistaken, Hilary was one of the few Democrats who supported the war.

  7. You may not remember that John Kerry also supported the war (on the first vote, then later voted not to fund the war when he had the OK to run for president from the Democrat party machine).

Do you realize what kind of sad sheeple you are to follow the Dem & Dimmer propaganda? Don’t you feel like a foolish ass?

  8. I remember, “I voted for the war before I voted against it.”

Haha…are you a Republican? At least Dems can admit to their mistakes…couldn’t say the same for the Right. I’m liberal and for the time being, I’ll have to vote Democrat. Having a third party would be better but in this day and age of ADD, ADHD, and short attention spans, more than 2 parties is too much for people to handle.

Oh yeah…Democrats are represented by the donkey. At least it’s not an elephant…

  9. Look at how much healthcare costs now, up from 30% in 2001! Republicans have no real plan for social security, they want to privatize, which isn’t exactly trying to fix the problem, just creating a new one.

  10. The evil Wal-Mart empire is single-handedly cutting healthcare costs by 75 percent. They now sell generic drugs for $4. The same drugs all the other chains sell for $100 or more to those without health insurance.

You aren’t reading about that in your mainstream newspaper.

  11. I don’t read newspapers, I watch news and find it from google news. I heard about that too. I’m not sure what I think about it because I’m not affected by it, but I do think drugs should cost less. Now if healthcare premiums would go down…
