Was he just asking his neighbor in the next stall for a courtesy flush?

But will he? I predicted that Republican Senator Larry Craig will resign today at his press conference. UPDATE: Craig did not resign. He says he is not gay. OK. Then. Care to explain why you would be trying to strike up a conversation with a stranger in another stall in a restroom? You are toast and you don’t even know it. Had you been the distinguished Senator from San Francisco, you could have sex at a bathouse or in Golden Gate Park.
He’s the “distinguished” Senator from Idaho who was caught “with his pants down” in an airport restroom sting operation similar to that of George Michael.
Idaho statutes call for the Governor to appoint a replacement in the event a vacancy, with a subsequent special election to fill out the remainder of the term. That would coincide with the regular election for the seat, which happens next year anyway. Idaho’s Governor, C.L. “Butch” Otter, is a Republican.
As the second most Republican state in the Union, Republicans should have no problem finding a suitable candidate to replace Craig and defeat former Congressman Larry LaRocco in the general.
BTW–Any progress reports on the health of the Democrat Senator who had a stroke a year ago? Why not replace his seat? No news on his recovery. Funny?
