Who wrote Dreams From My Father? Not Obama but William Ayers?

The evidence of a close kinship between Barack Obama and Bill Ayers is coming out in the open on blogs, talk shows and in magazines. The mainstream media is hoping it will all be “noise” with no consequences. After all, the election is in the bag for Obama with only three weeks left.

Jack Cashill has written a story in American Thinker about the timing and evidence of a ghost writer who may have written Dreams From My Father — the book that put Obama on the national stage.

Time Magazine called Dreams … “the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician.”

But Obama had not really written anything up until that. So, did he use a ghost writer? The evidence is there, it is very professional and has a wonderful style. So why doesn’t he name the ghost writer? Or why doesn’t the great writer come forward and say “It was all Obama, I just zipped it up a little.”

Greta Van Sustren is said to be about to break this story.

Come on, this is your time to get some credit. Call yourself just an editor. But let us know who you are?

Wait a minute, what if the ghost writer is Bill Ayres? That would show that Obama is a fabricated man, built by the life-long socialist Ayres.

This is the October surprise.

  1. So we’re back to Ayers again? And ghostwriters? What’s next? I hear Greta is about to break the REAL blockbuster story about Malia Obama being a member of a pre-kindergarten sleeper cell that one day plans to take over her high school!

But let’s slap this Ayers thing around a bit, shall we?

Thank you, Mick, for keeping these ties to Ayers in front of us. Obviously this makes Obama a terrorist, or at least a terrorist sympathizer. But you need to know, even you have not taken this far enough.

It is abundantly clear that Obama knew Ayers and served with Ayers on the Woods Foundation implementing the Chicago Annenburg Challenge. But have you checked to see who served on the committee that approved the $49 million grant to that terrorist or who else served on the board with Ayers and Obama?

Well, one of them was David Kearns, who currently works on John McCain’s presidential campaign. This terrorist financier (he approved the money to Ayers, after all) also used to work in the U.S. Department of Education under George H.W. Bush, which is the last place you want a terrorist sympathizer and financier to work, spreading their message to kids.

And what about the big fish? The money given to the terrorist Ayers actually came from the late Walter Annenburg. Using the same standard of evidence used with Obama, Annenburg is obviously a major terrorist financier after giving money to Ayers’ group. Annenburg had to know about Ayers’ terrorist past before giving him this money. You might ask, why did the FBI and others not investigate this sleazy character?

Well, as it turns out, this scumbag was pretty politically wired. He used to be big buddies with one Ronald Wilson Reagan, entertaining him and his wife Nancy at their palatial California home. Annenburg’s widow, Lenora, has even made substantial contributions to McCain’s 2008 campaign.

And that same Reagan actually appointed this dangerously radical terrorist financier to become ambassador to Great Britain. And yet the media never touched this story. Like Obama, apparently Reagan thought his dangerous anti-Americanism could be hushed up.

It makes you wonder, why did Ronald Reagan hate America so much that he would appoint a terrorist financier as an American ambassador?

And you, Mick, have many times stated in public that you admired this mysterious Reagan character. You admired someone who palled around with terrorists, who thought America was so imperfect that he would appoint a terrorist sympathizer and financier to a high diplomatic position? Doesn’t that make you a terrorist sympathizer as well? I’m truly shocked!

  2. I’ve read the “research” by Mr. Kurtz and found it not only to be unpersuasive but also pretty laughable. It is so chock full of assumptions, presumptions, innuendos, hysteria and half truths that it begs not to be taken seriously by anyone with functioning faculties.

That’s not just my opinion, Mick. Non-partisan organizations like Congressional Quarterly and Factcheck.org have also debunked not only Kurtz’s assertions but also those in John McCain’s campaign ads loosely based upon them.

As I showed in my comment above, my friend, that kind of slur and slander is pretty cheap and easy. By using the same kind of guilt-by-association libel, people like the former general counsel of Xerox, David Kearns, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, philanthropist Walter Annenburg, John McCain and Ronald Reagan are just as guilty of “palling around with terrorists” and having questionable affiliations as Obama.

Of course the other “source” on this Ayers smear has been the work of FOX News’ Sean Hannity. He did what purported to be a documentary the other night on the alleged Obama – Ayers ties. His main source was “Internet journalist” Andy Martin.

If Hannity had done any research at all, he would have learned that Martin is not what most people would consider to be a reliable source. He has been clinically diagnosed as a delusional paranoid. He has actually been barred from filing any additional lawsuits without court approval after filing hundreds of frivolous cases making wild accusations. Many of these accused judges, lawyers and others of engaging in a Jewish-inspired conspiracy against him.

Martin is also a well-known anti-Semite, who has referred to a Chicago judge as “crooked, a slimy Jew.” In another filing he said, “I am able to understand how the Holocaust took place, and with every passing day feel less and less sorry that it did..”

If the kind of company you keep matters,Mick, are people like Kurtz and Martin the kind of people you want on your side?

This kind of stuff is malicious, anti-American and dangerous. It reflects the worst of our natures, poisons our political debate and encourages the kind of divisions that will force America to fail in uniting to confront the very real challenges we face.

  3. Ken, that statement was recorded by the Rev.

BTW — This outrage is hitting now:
Democratic vice-presidential candidate Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. has paid more than $2 million in campaign cash to his family members, their businesses and employers over the years, a practice that watchdogs criticize as rife with potential conflicts of interest.

Getty Images FAMILY: Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s son, Hunter Biden, was at a campaign stop with his father in December. The candidate’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens, is his longtime campaign manager.

The money largely flowed from the coffers of Mr. Biden’s failed presidential campaign during the past two years to a company that employs his sister and longtime campaign manager, Valerie Biden Owens, according to campaign disclosure filings.

The senator from Delaware also directed campaign legal work to a Washington lobbying and law firm founded by his son R. Hunter Biden, the disclosures show.

Putting family members and their companies on the political payroll is legal if the work is legitimate and charged at market rates, according to the Federal Election Commission. Still, public watchdog groups have long criticized such arrangements.

  4. Finally a legitimate isue. I commend you on your research. There is a legitimate ethical question here and I think Biden is on the wrong side of it.

This is a practice I have long criticized. My own Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn) has had similar criticisms leveled against her. Her problems came from trying to conceal these payments to her family members, which made her ethical situation worse. It has also been a question in campaigns of Fred Thompson of my state.

My personal opinion is that campaign funds should not be used to enrich family members. Loyalty is certainly a question in campaigns and I can understand the feeling that a member of your family is most likely to be loyal. Yet there is something is little unseemly about your campaign money going to to a family member.

That said, it was the reason campaign finance disclosures were invented. The reason you can find out about Biden’s questionable behavior is that is was disclosed, as required by law. Voters can make their decision about this since they have the information. I am a full and complete disclosure guy. If this causes someone to vote against the Obama-McCain ticket, so be it.

So what did you think abou thte debate tonight?

  5. I thought Obama did well except for his smirking when McCain talked. And I think that this was McCain’s best debate.

The public got a lesson in what redistribution of wealth is all about thanks to Joe the plumber.

  6. Writing is a little like a fingerprint and Ayers’ are all over Dreams. One of the most obvious is that both “authors” tell stories of being in the exact spot on the Hudson River where the river flows upstream due to the tides! What are the chances of this alone? And the list goes on and on so read the article.

According to Obama and Ayers’ neighbor Rashid Khalidi, “Bill [Ayers] was particularly generous in letting me use his family’s dining room table to do some writing.” This quote was in the acknowledgment section of Khalidi book, Resurrecting Empire.

In other words, Ayers is a guy who is known to help writers in his neighborhood. Obama was struggling to write his book and suddenly produced something Time magazine called “the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician.” Do some critical thinking!

  7. Excellent points, Tim!

This deep connection to Ayres’ socialist ideals which are in Obama’s books, not to mention the $100 million by the Annenberg Challenge that went to socialist causes, not to bettering Chicago schools — that is the problem.

  8. Oh Ken, here we go again. I really wish you would stop this “7 Degrees of Kevin Bacon” game, where everyone Barack is intimately connected to; McCain, David Kearns, Walter Annenburg, and even our beloved Reagan, is in some “degree”, also connected. Whoa, your pulling out the big guns here aren’t ya. In some scary, sad and unfair way, if you dig far enough, you and I are possibly connected. If not now, we will be in the near future if Obama wins and I hand over my pay check to you. Will that mean I am funding your ideas… hmm. Anyways, try to focus on the issues ok. You sound like a far left pundit using your talking points. Our immediate concerns are for Obama’s intimate associations, his denial of them, and ultimately, his refusal to denounce them (that is of course unless you are Rev. Wright, because we all know he got thrown under the bus after 20yrs, when the water got to hot for Obama).

I am not even going to bother researching your 7 degrees of Ayers game, because it’s futile. I will however commend you on your “I am a full and complete disclosure guy”, and ask that you appeal to the LA Times to release the tape, and while your at it, see if Obama could produce his original birth certificate (with the raised seal), and not a copy! That would put a few of these issues to rest and then maybe we could move onto Barack’s ridiculiously Left record. I’m glad your a “complete disclosure kind of guy”… we are on the same side :o)

  9. One of the top Al-Quida leaders is calling for Bush and his party to be humiliated in this election.

Democrats, isn’t it nice to know whose side you are on?
